The Nitty-Gritty About our Hot Glass Experience
Upon arrival, you’ll meet Woody and fill out a waiver. This is the time to identify any special needs or concerns! Before entering the "hot shop", you’ll be shown where the washrooms are and we’ll make sure that your clothing and footwear are appropriate for this activity.
Please keep in mind that natural fibre clothing is preferred and closed-toe footwear is required.
After a quick demonstration, you’ll jump right in.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of glassblowing, which include the nuances and basics of the craft, and Woody will run you through how to create a handmade paperweight, symbolic of your experience in Niagara Falls. Rest assured that your instruction will be tailored to you and Woody will closely support and guide you.
With over a decade of experience, rest assured you’re in the best hands!
Your time learning this ancient skill will be a total of 2 hours long with short breaks for refreshments. Your creation will then be cooled overnight in a kiln and ready for pick up the next day. Shipping arrangements are possible too, so no worries if you can’t make it back to pick up your art.
